we do, how
we do it and last but first why
we are doing it. To be able to adapt predefined rules as a human being, it is important that we belief and being convinced about the purpose and targets
of the corporation, management and the people involved. If we truly belief, we do it on an intrinsic level what means, that it is more a subconscious feeling
and drive then a conscious and logic decision, just with way more power, trust and honesty behind it. This is what makes champions!
Because of that, a clear, transparent and honest company atmosphere is key
to run a successful business, no matter what you produce!
Why is there a need to change?
Never before in the history of human mankind, the world was as peaceful and developed as it is today. Over the last generation (25 years) our technology has developed much more and faster than in 150 years before. The young generations of today (born after 1980) understand and see this world in a totally different way
than older individuals (for eample they cannot imagine a phone ever had a cable). It is also a fact today, that mostly older generations are owning, managing and running businesses today. So, the conflict is a generation based cultural conflict
that leads to atmospheric disturbances, where experienced minds with a historic understanding of how to do things need to deal with, lead and manage younger generations that have a modern, up to date and totally new understanding and vision of that and of the world in total.
If it happens here and there, that these "young guns" start a successful business, the whole (historic) world wants to adapt and copy
what makes these businesses great and successful (see Google, Tesla, Facebook, and so on). The key is the culture, values, visions and atmosphere in these companies! Not WHAT they do is key, it is HOW they do it
and because all of them know WHY!
A well-known saying says, that you sometimes cannot see the woods because of all these trees. That is one of the main reasons for consultants to exist, because we take a deeper look from the outside to find out, what the problem is. You might compare it with a doctor's business. The patient comes with pain
and the doctor investigates where it comes from to make a cure plan after.
Do you know the popular buzz-words of today, for example Trust, Empowerment, Ownership, Leadership, Agility,
just to name a few? Do you know why they are so prominent and important at the moment? Do you know what exactly they mean and what the purpose behind of that meaning is? ... just translating the words is not enough
and mostly wrong. There is a meaning, definition, function and intrinsic effect
behind these words and they are logically and subconsciously interlinked
with each other. These "words" in combination are key for a powerful culture of today, if there is the right meaning, definition and understanding behind it. To compare it with the doctor's metaphor: These buzz words are the treatment and medicine already, but do you have the precise diagnosis
yet? Is it a headache or already cancer? In one case an Aspirin might be enough, in the other you are in trouble if you don't change.
